My wife drives a 2018 Stelvio. It has most of the same components as the giulia in a crossover shell. It has 30k miles and has had all sorts of electrical problems. If we didn鈥檛 have warranty, it would cost us thousands per year in repairs. We just spent over $3k with Alfa directly to extend the warranty 2 more years. We all want to go back to 2018 and stay there. Otherwise the padding is probably to address the complaints of road noise. This assumes it's the same on both sides. The wiring, ehh.
